Trails Report & Conditions North Country SnowSeekers |
Disclaimer: Trails Report & Conditions reported on this site is an independant, factual interpretation by the North Country SnowSeekers on the Trail Conditions as we see them. We are not, nor are we affiliated with a business, and we ARE NOT a Trail Grant Club. This report is based on local observations, weather and actual riding conditions in the Higgins Lake, Houghton Lake area. In addition to our own observations and remarks, we are providing on this page, LINKS to other local organizations that are also claiming to do their Trail Reports. A determination on Trail conditions is left up to you, based on the information that can be derived here. We will endeavor to update this site daily during the snow season, however, since the Club has Rides planned out of the area, updates during the period we are gone CAN NOT BE ACCURATE nor be done during these weeks. (Simple, we are not in the area, therefore, even if updated they would be a guess. Through the links, you can still get a fairly representative idea of what the conditions are. |

POSTED Monday March 24th, 2008 In the Club area, there has been very little snow over the last 2 weeks, and riding is pretty much done for the season. Its been a good year for most, especially the riding with many getting in MORE miles this season than they have in years. Other than the early Jan thaw, the trails have been great for the whole season. But, all good things MUST come to an end. If you didn't get to ride much, it was for some reason other than good trails this year. Mother Nature co-operated for a change. Now for the TOUGH SLEDING SEASON (spring & summer). Even though the sleding is through for this year, club activities will continue. (See the Club Calendar for upcomming activities, including this year Yard Sale) Ride safe, sane and sober... and see you on the TRAILS.. |
Ride Safe, and remember to keep the SHINEY SIDE UP, it saves on mirrors and windshields... |
